Joaquín Santo-Domingo Cano
After more than 27 years of experience in Latam, Africa, Asia and Europe, Joaquin has extensive knowledge of international finance and investment banking. He has conducted business in emerging markets for complex structured trade & commodity finance transactions including project finance, trade finance, ECA & commercial financing, repack notes schemes, private risk insurances, private public partnership schemes.
During this period, he has established relationships with Sovereign, Sub-sovereign and Private Borrowers for financing investment projects and with main Political Risk Insurance companies & insurance brokers, developing Multilateral and International Banks and State Agencies. He has worked on projects in Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Angola, Mexico, Ecuador, Salvador, Guatemala, Gabon, Angola, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Russia, Serbia, Egypt and Algeria.
He has also worked for financial institutions like Deutsche Bank as Director for Structured Trade and Export Finance and CESCE as Senior Analyst Medium & Long Term Department, and previously at Grupo Alfaro and Eductrade (Timón Group).
He is an active member of Aldeas Infantiles SOS (International childcare association) and the World Wildlife Fund (ADENA)
Joaquin holds a degree in law from San Pablo CEU Univerisity and MBA from IE Business School, Madrid.
