Rosa María Corcho

Journalist, presenter, and manager of companies – born in barranquilla. Ms. Corcho has over 19 years of experience in the world of communications, being part of the team of journalists of the regional network Telecaribe, channel Univision Tampa International and national channel Caracol TV.

She has always combined her career in media with business activities providing services as an executive in major national companies where she has handled responsibilities in marketing, communications, and business development. Her professional career has focused on social responsibility and effective strategic communication. She retired as an anchorwoman in Caracol to create and lead her own company RM Comunicaciones, which has reached a high positioning in the Colombian national market. She is also a lead executive of the project “A La Rueda Rueda de Pan”, a foundation created to support younger generations in a vulnerable situation at the Colombian Caribbean region, through programs of “Creative Leisure”.

Rosa María is nationally recognized for her dynamism and business leadership. She received as the Business Leader of the Year by “Gacetas de Colombia”, an award that she received in the Congress of the Colombian Republic.

For her outstanding role in the Colombian society she was chosen by the “Partido Social de Unidad Nacional” as one of their candidates to occupy a seat in Congress as a Senator. During her campaign she implemented the social project “Construction of a Socially Responsible State” to become a fundamental player in the re-election campaign of President Juan Manuel Santos. Rosa María was responsible for the execution of communication in BTL and being the spokesperson leader of the message of the political campaign “Juan Manuel Presidente” which achieved victory in the presidential elections for the period of 2014 – 2018.

She has led the launching a positioning of large national and international brands such as mobile solutions company CLARO, and afterwards TIGOUNE. She has also advised on communication strategies for TV channels such as: Caracol Televisión, regional channel Telecaribe, and CableNotícias. She has also implemented communication strategies for Kimberly Clark, Universidad del Norte, Mars, Presidencia de la República de Colombia, Senado de la Republica, among others.
